CHENNAI: Karti Chidambaram, whose voice is being closely heard in political circles these days, said that the Congress party could not be ignored by any party or anybody in the State. Speaking at a public function to mark the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi here on Thursday, he said that the party in the State had failed to publicise the schemes and achievements of its government to the people, while the DMK and AIADMK had held public meetings for the same.. On the bitter rivalry between the two major Dravidian parties, he said that this culture should change. He appealed to Karunanidhi to intervene and settle the issue to save the schools from closure.
