Patjoshi likely to be new KSRTC MD

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Sanjeb Kumar Patjoshi IPS is likely to be appointed as the new chairman and managing director of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC). Patjoshi, who is in the rank of IG, is presently serving as the managing director of the Kerala Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd (Milma). Top sources said Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan would take the final decision on Friday in that regard.Patjoshi belongs to the 1991-batch IPS in the Kerala cadre. He has been serving as the managing director of KCMMF since July 2007. The appointment is being made in the wake of the transfer of T P Senkumar as Transport Commissioner. According to sources, the State Government was in the hunt for a proper replacement for Senkumar to head the KSRTC over the past couple of weeks.Meanwhile, rumours are rife that Patjoshi has been shifted from Milma following differences of opinion with chairman P T Gopalakurup. There were reports of an open tussle between the chairman and Patjoshi over a series of issues in the board meeting
