KOCHI: Kerala High court today declined to stay the direction of single judge restraining the draw of other state lotteries.

A division bench comprising Justice Thothathil B Radhakrishnan and Justice P Bhavadasan however, asked the government to receive the advance tax for one draw of Bhutan and Sikkim lotteries.

The order was issued on a writ appeal by Megha Distributors, promoters of Sikkim and Bhutan lotteries.

Senior Supreme court advocate Nageshwar Rao, representing the government, informed the court that the state would file appeal tomorrow challenging the direction to receive advance tax from the appellant.

The case has been posted to Tuesday.
