Odarpu is not for political gain: Jagan

ONGOLE: Odarpu yatra is not for any political gain and it was only to fulfil my commitment towards families of the deceased YSR sympathisers, said YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

Addressing people at Chinnarutla village of Konkanamitla mandal in Prakasam district during his yatra today, he expressed concern over the dwindling values in politics.

Referring to Chandrababu Naidu indirectly, Jagan said that one CM-aspirant candidate of the TDP is making baseless allegations against my father YS Rajasekhara Reddy even after one year of his death. “They (TDP) cannot win the confidence of people by merely criticising YSR,” he said.

Minister for mines Balineni Srinivasa Reddy said that the Odarpu Yatra was not aimed at making Jagan as chief minister. He alleged that some vested interests in the party are involved in sending wrong messages to party high command on the yatra. Jagan was only keeping his promise he had made at Pavuralagutta to launch the yatra, he said.
