HYDERABAD/KADAPA: Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s show is set to reopen again from Friday in Prakasam district. After spending the entire Thursday at Idupulapaya in Kadapa district where he observed the first death anniversary of the late YSR, Jagan will reach the neighbouring Prakasam on Friday to resume his Odarpu Yatra which is likely to stretch for at least two weeks. The State Government organised various functions in Hyderabad and Pavuralagutta in Kurnool district, the spot where YSR died in a chopper crash, but the attention was riveted on Idupulapaya as a steady stream of people turned up to pay homage to the former chief minister.Chief Minister K Rosaiah could not go to Pavuralagutta or attend the official function organised at Ravindra Bharati owing to illness but managed to participate in a condolence meeting at the Gandhi Bhavan later in the evening.Apart from some ministers/MLAs, Union Minister and AICC general secretary Veerappa Moily turned up at Idupulapaya as a “representative of Congress president Sonia Gandhi.” Moily spent just about 15 minutes during which he also had a brief interaction with Jagan. The MP made it clear there was no question of abandoning the yatra. Then came the suggestion from Moily that Jagan should at least refer to the party and Sonia during the course of his yatra. There are enough indications from the MP’s camp that there is no way Jagan would walk out of the party on his own. Having failed to stop him from going ahead with the yatra, will the leadership be satisfied if he refers to the party and Sonia in his speeches has to be seen. After the meeting with Jagan, Moily: “I came here to pay tributes to YSR on behalf of AICC and as an emissary of Sonia Gandhi.”
