Cotton and Silk expo

The Silk and Cotton Expo 2010 exhibition is showcasing a wide variety of silk and cotton products made by several artisans across the country.

Varios types of sarees including Gadwal, Pochampally, Mangalgiri sarees from Andhra Pradesh, Tussar and Matka silk from Bihar and Pashmina shawls from Jammu and Kashmir will be showcased.

Bandhej silk sarees, block print, Sanganeri print, cotton suits, bed sheets, cushion covers and dress material from Rajasthan, Jamdani and Jamavar silk sarees of Uttar Pradesh will add to the variety of sarees being displayed.

Bagh printed silk sarees, Maheshwari sarees from Madhya Pradesh, Kosa silk of Jharkhand, Kasauti work of Karnataka and Munga silk from Assam, among others will also be showcased.

The expo inaugrated by actress Vidya Rao on September 5 at TTD Kalyan Mandapa will go on till September 13.
